Welcome to CorrectPhoto Digital Photo Editing Software
For Microsoft® Windows® XP, Vista™ & Windows 7 featuring iCorrect®  OneClick™ Color Correction.

As you get started with CorrectPhoto, we want to point out a few key features and make some workflow suggestions that will help make working with your digital photos a little easier.

Tool Bar

CorrectPhoto's smartly-arranged tool bar has intuitive, descriptive icons for each of the programs functions.  It also has a built-in instruction panel right in the work area that displays detailed instructions for each icon.  As you pass your mouse over the icon, the instruction panel automatically displays the instructions for that tool.

Organize and Mange Your Digital Photos

First, CorrectPhoto utilizes its own built-in Windows Explorer for all file handling and file management tasks.  This is a simple and straight forward way of organizing and managing all of your digital photos.  For an in-depth look at using Windows Explorer's file handling and photo management features, see the following Microsoft tutorials:  Organize your digital pictures

Select Working Folder

Begin by selecting or creating a CorrectPhoto working folder with the built-in Windows Explorer in the left panel.  You can add photos the working folder by using "Get Photos" in the file menu.  This function will copy your photos to the working folder.  You should also take advantage of the "Archive Photo" feature.  As a way of protecting your original photos, CorrectPhoto will create a back-up folder of your photos within your working folder named "folder name Archive".

Composition

Next, you may want to improve the composition with CorrectPhoto's enhanced cropping tool.  This is important for two reasons.  One, you should be the one who decides which portion of your photo is cropped out when you have prints made.  Otherwise, your print provider will arbitrarily crop from the center of your photo.  With CorrectPhoto, you can crop to specific print sizes like 3x5, 4x6, 5x7, etc.  Two, you can turn an average snapshot into a more meaningful portrait by zeroing in on the important elements and leaving out the rest.

OneClick Color Correction

Probably the most unique and most impressive feature of CorrectPhoto is our highly-acclaimed OneClick color correction.  This is by far our fastest and easiest color correction tool to date.  You can instantly remove unwanted color cast, improve the exposure, and increase the vibrancy with just one click!  Even if you don't realize it immediately, most digital photos have some sort of color cast to them.  They are either too blue, or to magenta, etc.  CorrectPhoto can remove this and perfectly correct the white balance by simply clicking on an area of the image that should be neutral (black, white, or gray).  Plus, CorrectPhoto also automatically improves the exposure and adjusts the vibrancy at the same time giving every photo some extra snap and making them more lifelike.

Enhancements

Further enhance your photos. With iCorrect OneClick's easy-to-use controls, you can fine-tune your photo with easy-to-use controls for adjusting overall brightness, shadows, highlights, contrast and saturation. Or create stunning, professional quality effects like black & white. You can fine-tune the exposure and recover extra detail by independently adjusting overall brightness, shadows, and highlights. You can even easily adjust contrast and saturation.

Fix Red Eye

Fix red eye with CorrectPhoto by positioning Red Eye Cursor over the red eye in your photo and clicking the left mouse button.  You may change the size of the Red Eye cursor to match the size of the red eye portion in the eyes in your image.

Sharpening

Some photos are out of focus.  You can use the Sharpen tool to correct a blurry image and improve its clarity.  This helps recover lost detail in otherwise mediocre shots.

And, you're finished!

Online Services

Now that you've corrected your photos, you may want to share them with family and friends.  Online photo services should make it easy to upload and share your pictures with friends, family and customers, or post them on the Internet for everyone to enjoy. The best online photo galleries offer editing tools, lots of storage space, password protected access, the ability to buy and sell prints, photo gifts and other conveniences. Photo sharing services make organizing, storing and sharing digital photos convenient, easy, safe and most importantly–fun. Through online galleries, friends and family can join by sharing pictures of important events, good times and special occasions.
